Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

Puzzle Path is operated by Andrew Baillie as a sole trader trading as Puzzle Path.

Puzzle Path provides self-guided scavenger hunt experiences. This policy explains how we collect, use, hold and disclose personal information when you use our website and adventures, make a booking, contact us or request community sponsorship.

2. Information we collect

When you contact us, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address and the content of your enquiry.

For sponsorship enquiries, we collect your organisation’s name, its website if supplied, your contact name and email address, your preferred contact method and, if you request a phone call, your Australian phone number. We record an enquiry reference, submission time and application status. Please do not include sensitive personal information in these fields.

3. How we collect information

We collect information you submit through our forms and when you communicate with us. Some website information is collected automatically to provide and protect the service.

The sponsorship form uses a temporary browser cookie to protect the submission process. It also uses short-lived rate-limit records derived from a server-keyed hash of the connection IP address. The sponsorship enquiry table does not store the raw IP address. This does not describe any separate hosting, security or analytics logs.

4. Why we use information

We use personal information to provide and administer the requested service, respond to questions, assess and follow up sponsorship enquiries, and protect our website from misuse. We may also use information where necessary to meet legal obligations or resolve a complaint.

Submitting a sponsorship enquiry does not subscribe you to promotional mailing lists. Sponsorship decisions and any later voucher arrangements are handled separately from the initial enquiry.

5. Sharing information and service providers

Information may be accessible to authorised people and service providers who need it to operate Puzzle Path’s website, respond to enquiries or deliver the service you request. Information may also be disclosed where required or authorised by law.

6. Security

We use access controls and technical measures appropriate to the services we operate. The sponsorship form uses an encrypted HTTPS connection, validates submissions and stores enquiries in the website database without a public enquiry-listing endpoint. No internet transmission or storage system is completely risk-free.

7. Access, correction and deletion requests

You can contact Andrew Baillie at info@puzzlepath.com.au to ask about personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, or ask for deletion. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or resolve an outstanding matter. We will explain any applicable limits when responding.

8. Privacy concerns

If you have a concern about our handling of personal information, contact Andrew using the email above and describe what happened and the outcome you are seeking. We will assess your concern and respond. If the matter is not resolved, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services or information practices. The current policy and its revision date will be available on our website.

Effective date: 26 October 2026.
